I was cleaning out my church bag today and found this quote we got in Relief Society several weeks ago:
"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.
I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenck's lawn.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed some one's garden.
I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."
Sister Hinckley
I LOVE this quote it is going on my fridge to remind me of what I really want!!

Okay Kim-- I totally forgot about the cigarette lighter. That is so funny! How embarassing!! That was so dumb! Yes, I can laugh about it now-- I laughed really hard when I first saw your comment. Hopefully that is not the only memory you have of my when we were young!
Lorraine asked me to post this...Anyone who can is asked to fast for Maria on Thursday, August 28th prior to surgery on Friday. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
